Hockley Valley Resort (Mono, ON) is looking for experienced Cooks to join their culinary team. If cooking is your passion, we offer the opportunity for growth and development and to work with some extremely talented chefs.
Cook Qualifications
- Effectively communicate both verbally & in writing
- Graduate from a culinary school an asset
- Minimum work experience in the kitchen of at least 1+ years
- Thorough knowledge of usage of kitchen equipment’s
- Professional culinary technical skills
- European cuisine experience – preferably Italian cuisine an asset
- Has experience in either – Saucier or Enter métier or Pasta or Garde manger
- Pasta making skills
- Able to work in a busy environment either in banquets or on the line in an ala carte restaurant
Employment requirements
- Completion of secondary school is usually required.
- Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks

Completion of college or other program in cooking
or
Several years of commercial cooking experience are required. - Trade certification is available, but voluntary, in all provinces and territories
